Pretty sure that's a Carolina Squat.

Back in my day, Hotwheels cars were built with quality.

Bend the rear axle straight again. Problem solved....

Is it screwed together as I've done this in the past and simply took it apart and straightened out the 'axle' and bent back and glued the plastic, let it dry and then screwed it back together.

More importantly, how are you feeling? Stepping on a Matchbox is nearly as bad as stepping on a Lego.

Hell, if you stepped on them you had a better chance of breaking your foot then the toy.

Exactly.

That's definitely not a genuine Hot Wheels

We have old ones too and I can assure you I would crush them too if I stepped on them

I'm not surprised.

Interesting. I thought they were higher quality than that.

Reverse focus for the hotwheels lovers. Last count my son has about 200 cars. I have stepped on about 50 in his 5 years of life:)

There it is. At the bottom. I was about to post that because nobody else did. Obligatory!

That's not a Hot Wheels, my friend. That's a Motor Max generic.

That's a start. Once he gets acquainted with all the many different brands out there, that collection will grow faster than a wildfire.

He's five was just referring to it as he would. Probably only 40-50% of his cars are hot wheels or matchbox the rest are knockoffs. Now knockoff Lego's.... That is something we will not tolerate in this house:)

You may want to steer clear of these knockoffs:
1. Mega Blocks, from Canada (Mattel purchased them last year).
2. Tyco Blocks, popular in the 1990's, now no longer made.
3. BestBlocks, some cheap brand found in Dollar General stores. I strongly recommend you stay away from these.
